A dog park and disc golf course are coming to Municipality of Louise.

Louise Recreation and Louise Community Development announced the two new recreational opportunities are coming to the Municipality of Louise thanks to funding from the Westoba Credit Union Inspire program. Both will be located out at the Winram Field area in Pilot Mound.

“We are super thrilled to be teaming up with Westoba Credit Union to bring these wonderful new amenities to our community,” said Kelsey Sagert, Louise Recreation District. “We would like to thank Westoba for their generosity and support with these projects. We feel these will be great additions to our community and offer safe, fun, and free recreational opportunities for everyone to enjoy.”

Westoba Inspire is part of Westoba’s community investment strategy that provides funding for local community projects.

“Westoba is committed to helping build strong communities” said Jackie Shoemaker, Westoba Branch Manager for Pilot Mound, La Riviere and Swan Lake.

“Providing funding to the Louise Recreation District supports this important community green space, as well as providing a tangible representation of the credit union principles in action. On behalf of the entire Westoba team, we are proud to be part of this project that will bring people together and make our four-legged friends very happy.”

“People are looking for things to do outside and closer to home so that’s why we really plan to have everything up and running this summer” said Sagert.
