The PW Enns Centennial Concert Hall will play host to a unique evening of Low German entertainment on March 1st and 2nd. The Salem Fountation and Ladies Auxiliary is putting on a Low German Play and the whole community is invited.

Marge Redekopp from the Ladies Auxiliary says the community is excited about the event. She also talked about where the idea came from.

"Most of us Low German folks know that comedy is best expressed in Low German and we had also seen from our young people an amazing talent already and we thought this would be a perfect way for them to share their talents at the same time serving the seniors in our community."

The evening will feature local actors some of whom speak Low German and some who don't. There will be two separate stories told, titled Ons Faelt ne Kjaekjsche and Grootelren Komen to Kjast. The former of the two is about two single farmers looking for help around the house, the latter is about grandparents from Paraguay coming to Canada to attend a wedding. Both are laugh-inspiring comedies!

A donation at the door is all you'll need to get in, Marge talked about what they are fundraising for.

"We are raising funds for a wheelchair-friendly E-bike for our seniors at Salem home. It's a 3 wheeled bike where it adds a platform between the front two wheels. Any wheelchair fits on there so the residents can just be strapped onto the platform and go along for the ride.
