A number of  drug operations in Morden have been shut down by the Morden Police Service.

Morden Youth for Christ Executive Director John Rempel says this is good news.

They are pleased to seeing Morden police being proactive on eliminating the local drug trade.

Rempel says they want to work with the police on this problem as a team for the benefit of the youth and the community.

He notes the biggest challenges facing youth are peer pressure and social status.

Youth do not come in bragging what they are using, but rather regretting what they are now involved in.

Rempel says they tend to seek guidance on how to find their way out.
