A safe and coordinated approach will be taken to welcoming students back to school in the Prairie Rose School Division (PRSD) as part of Phase Two of the Manitoba government's re-opening plan.

While classroom learning remains suspended and remote teaching will continue for the remainder of the year, students will gradually be invited back to school through scheduled appointments starting Wednesday, June 3 in order to meet with teachers to assess and plan for the new school year in September.

When entering PRSD facilities, visitors will need to adhere to a series of protocols that have been developed in accordance with public health recommendations. The list includes visitation by appointment only, all guests who enter must be screened and tracked, the number of visitors will be limited, those feeling unwell are to stay home, and social distancing measures will need to be respected.

The division will send out further details to the parent/guardian community on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 2.

Meantime, K-12 remote learning will end on Tuesday, June 23, and starting Wednesday, June 24, school teams will redirect their attention to completing report cards, student transition planning, school development planning, and fall planning for the opening of schools in August/September 2020.
