Tuesday morning brought another episode of Ripple Effect with the Red River Basin Commission (RRBC). Managing Director Steve Strang, based out of the Manitoba office, joined Morning Show Co-Host Chris Sumner for the conversation. In the past we've heard about many projects the RRBC is working on. We've had many individuals, watershed managers and others, on air who have spoken of Lidar work, and how it's been such a positive for the Watersheds, for the work the Commission does with First Nations on water governance, the bathymetry which shows the layout of the bottom of the river, Tile Drainage, Long Term Flood Solutions which also focuses on Water retention for irrigation. Today Steve spoke about a Pilot Project RRBC just wrapped up the first year on.,that being the Netley Marsh Renewal Pilot Project.
