CAA Manitoba reports an increase in calls for emergency roadside assistance.

Liz Peters is the Public and Government Affairs Manager for CAA Manitoba. She tells us her office saw a 7 per cent jump in calls on Monday due mainly to the hot, muggy weather. Peters says most of the troubles centred on overheating motors and dead batteries. She adds there was also an increase in the number of people locking themselves out of their vehicles.

Peters says motorists should make sure the fluids in their vehciles are topped up, especially if they intend to take road trip in the hot summer weather.
