A 48 year-old man from Schanzenfeld has died following a snowmobile collision this past weekend in southeast Manitoba. Lac du Bonnet RCMP were called to the incident on Snowman Trail #754, approximately five kilometres west of Provincial Road 214, near Milner Ridge shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday.

According to RCMP, the man was travelling on the trail when his snowmobile veered off and collided with a tree. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

RCMP say the man was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Investigation continues.
