Wednesday night CFAM Radio 950 Morning Show Co-Host Chris Sumner MC’d the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce P.W. Enns Business Awards Gala, and the keynote speaker was someone very familiar to fans of Canadian music.

Steven Page, one of the founders and lead singers of the group Barenaked Ladies… you know the group! They sing the hit songs If I had a Million Dollars and One Week. Steven was the speaker last night.

He spoke about his own mental health and wellness journey, which began when he was a child. He also played a few songs during his time on stage including the songs What a Good Boy and Brian Wilson from the group's debut album Gordon.

As Steven shared his story, not shying away from the very public challenges he had to work through as he was walking his path, there were a lot of nodding heads in the room. He spoke about realizing he needed help, that it wouldn’t be a quick fix and how his art could help him share his story with others.
