Thick fog has enveloped the region Monday morning, with Environment Canada issuing a Fog Advisory for the Red River and Pembina Valleys, including the Carman, Morden, Winkler, Altona, Emerson and Morris regions.

According to the forecaster, "The fog will persist through the early morning, then conditions will begin to gradually improve across the region. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations."
