The two teams who met in the 1-1 page playoff game Saturday night will play in the final of the 2020 Viterra Provincial Men’s Curling Championship Sunday afternoon in Winnipeg.

Top seed Mike McEwen, Reid Carruthers, Derek Samagalski and Colin Hodgson of West St. Paul defeated Sean Grassie of Deer Lodge 7-3 in the semifinal and will face second seed Jason Gunnlaugson of the Morris Curling Club at 2:30 p.m. at the Eric Coy Arena,

McEwen, who will be making his sixth consecutive appearance in the final, stole single points in the third and seventh ends and sealed the deal with a steal of a deuce in the eighth.

Gunnlaugson beat the defending champions 8-6 Saturday night avenging a 9-2 loss to the defending champions the previous year in Virden in the 1-1 game.

This afternoons winner will represent Manitoba at the 2020 Brier later this month in Kingston, Ontario.
