A part of Main Street in Winkler will be shut down next week.

The South Central Regional Library will be using a human chain to move books from the old library to the new one.

Head Librarian Mary Toma says they hope to have as much of the community involved, because this is a community library.

Toma says they need 117 people for each 1 hour shift.

The move happens Tuesday and Wednesday during the day, weather permitting.

Toma adds the library will close Friday at 5:30 at their old space, and will hopefully re-open in the new building on the 21st.
