Winkler's Janell Brown and Trenten Heinrichs from Rosengart are both part of the Special Olympics Manitoba Snowshoe Team currently competing at the 2024 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Calgary.

The entire Manitoba team arrived in Calgary on Monday and on day one of competition on Wednesday, both Janell and Trenten managed to win a bronze medal in their respective 100-meter snowshoe races!

CFAM Morning Show co-host Chris Sumner is part of the snowshoe team from Manitoba as Misson Staff, and he chatted with both the athletes on the heels of their medal winning performances. You can enjoy their conversation and some pictures of all the fun below:
