According to the Mood Disorders of Canada website: At any given time, 10.4% of Canadians have a mental illness. 8% of adults in Canada will experience a major depression in their lives. And although you may not realize it, people you live with, work with, associate with, are in that percentage right now.
Today, just after 6:30, we will be breaking down a stigma that comes with Mental Illness. World Mental Health Day was Monday, October 10th, and local musician and "Where Wheat Grew Tall" singer Warren Friesen agreed to join us in the studio to talk about his personal struggles with depression and anxiety.
We also look forward to sharing Warren's latest album with you this Saturday on Made in Manitoba. It's called "From the Wreckage", and you can hear his music, and our conversation, Saturday at 5:05.
