The Winkler Cricket Club was at the Morden Access Event Centre teaching the public about the game. The event attracted both men and women of all ages.

Mandeep Saini, member and coach of the Winkler Cricket Club, described his vision for the Winkler Cricket Club, "We already have more than 30 members. [We're] doing this event so that we can get some junior members and build cricket in this area." Saini said one day they'd like to have a building where they can both teach and practice the sport.

Stephanie Dueck, Morden Recreation Programmer, talked about why she brought the sport to the Access Event Centre, "As the city of Morden, we are trying to accomplish 150 activities that Participaction has encouraged all Canadians to give a try. Cricket is on the list and I thought it would be great to give people the opportunity to play try cricket with the Winkler Cricket Club giving us some instructions so that we know what we're doing."
