Emergency crews called to early morning crash at highways 201 and 306
Two motorists were taken to hospital after yet another collision at the intersection of highways 201 and 306, south of Plum Coulee. Emergency crews were called to the scene around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. According to fire and RCMP officials, a west bound vehicle on highway 201 ran the stop sign at the intersection and collided with a south bound vehicle on highway 306. Both drivers were taken to hospital with unknown injuries. RCMP say the driver of the west bound vehicle will be charged under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a traffic control device, namely a stop sign. Neither alcohol nor drugs are considered factors in the collision. RCMP also noted, views across the intersection were not blocked or skewed at the time of the crash.
