No question -- spring in Manitoba ALWAYS brings with it, interesting weather, one day there's snow... the next day it's 20 degrees and sunny and the next night you're hearing thunder and seeing lightning!!

That's what happened in many parts of southern Manitoba... including Mitchell... where lightning literally struck their house!!

Corny Rempel of our Golden West on-air team chatted with home owner Brucette Waterston -- and first made notice of the fact that she was on her cell phone since her home phone was basically -- well -- fried.

And by the way, everyone was okay! That was Brucette Waterston from Mitchell whose house was struck by lightning this past Friday.
