When Pembina Valley defeated Stonewall 5-2 last Wednesday in game three of their second round series, the Twisters knew they had four chances to record just one more victory and earn a spot in the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League final for the first time in three years.

That number of chances has been cut in half.

The Jets won their second straight elimination game Sunday night in Morris.

Aiken Chop scored three times including the go-ahead goal at 8:59 of the third period and the insurance marker two minutes later as Stonewall beat Pembina Valley 5-2 and cut the Twisters lead in the best-of-seven semifinal to three games to two.

A.J. Nychuk and Devun Groot also scored for the Jets who received a 47-save performance from Curtis Beck.

Pembina Valley forward Brendan Keck had a glorious opportunity to cut the deficit to 5-4 with two minutes left in regulation.

Keck had a shorthanded breakaway but failed to convert when his shot to the blocker side was stopped by Beck.

Jordan Keck, Travis Penner and Jeremie Goderis did the goal scoring for the Twisters who lost back-to-back games for the first time since the middle of December.

Goderis' fourth goal of the playoffs at 5:24 of the third tied game five at 3-3.

Pembina Valley netminder Travis Klassen made 32 saves.

"We are coughing up the puck a lot more in our own end," answered Brendan Keck when asked why they've lost two in a row to Stonewall. "We're not being strong along the walls and our wingers aren't getting the pucks out. We're just panicking with the puck when we have it. We got to stop that, calm down and we should be fine."

Game six goes Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Arena.

"Our guys know we all got to come prepared from the goalie out," said Twisters head coach Ryan Dyck. "I don't have a doubt in my mind that that's going to happen. If we play our game, we'll be alright."
