Canoes, paddleboards, kayaks and dragon boats filled Lake Minnewasta in Morden this past Saturday for the 3rd annual Paddlefest.

Community members were invited to try out a variety of water sports and also had the opportunity to learn yoga on the beach. Approximately 112 people were attendance this year, down from 120 in 2016, and despite the decrease in visitors, summer recreation programmer Courtney Yeo said the overall event went really well.

"Everyone really enjoyed it. The community continues to look at this event positively and we hope to grow it," she said.

In the years to come, Yeo said she would like to add stand up paddleboard yoga to the list of activity options, and will consider making the whole afternoon clinic free for participants instead of charging five dollars.
