Morden Police are investigating a rash of break and enters that targetted six local businesses this week.

Two businesses reported break-ins the morning of March 6. The first business was entered on North Railway St. in Morden where suspects gained access to a locked cabinet and rummaged through several offices within the building. A quantity of cash was taken from within the business.

Shortly after, police received a call of a second business that was broken into on Thornhill St. Suspects gained entry to several offices inside but it appears nothing was taken.

On March 7, police received three more complaints of businesses broken into overnight and one attempt break and enter. All four businesses were located along Stephen St. in Morden. Suspects were unable to gain entry to a first building in the 300 block of Stephen St., but entered a second, though nothing was reported stolen.

The third business located in the 400 block of Stephen St. was entered and a quantity of cash taken. The last business, also in the 400 block of Stephen St., saw suspects remove a small quantity of cash along with keys to a company vehicle parked behind the building. Suspects took the vehicle which was recovered later that same evening in the Portage La Prairie area.
