Overland flooding continues across much of southern Manitoba today, often due to ice jamming drain networks.

The province's latest flood report reveals a number of states of local emergency have been registered with Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization. The list includes the Municipality of Dufferin, the Municipality of Grey and the Town of Carman. Ice jams on the Boyne River and surface run-off is affecting some homes in the Carman area.

As for the Red River region, decisions about the use of a ramp on PTH 75 in Morris will be based on conditions over the next few days. It is expected that PTH 75 will remain open. Partial ring dike closures are underway or completed at St. Adolphe and Brunkild.

Meantime, water levels and flows on the Pembina River are stabilizing as ice jams subside. The river at Windygates is nearing its second crest, which will not be as high as the first peak. The province is removing the partial dike closure at the border at Gretna.
