Town of Altona Public Works crews were hard at work Monday evening dealing with water issues on the community’s west side. Water began backing up over the

weekend, with residents on the western half of Willow Bay reporting standing water on the street starting Sunday. Portions of the walking path on the west end of town have also bee submerged by water.

Crews have been working on opening drains and culverts in the west end of town for most of the day, and excavators have been brought in to deal with drainage issues  just outside of Altona’s western limits.
