Kori da Costa is the new face of the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce.

During her tenure, she hopes local businesses continue to look to the chamber in the midst of struggle.

Past President Ryan Hildebrand"Just be the first thing that pops into their mind," she says. "And how we can help them... we want to make sure we're benefiting the community."

She also hopes to broaden the scope of expertise on the chamber board, adding members in the restaurant industry and industrial sector.

Former President Ryan Hildebrand stepped down during the chamber AGM last month.

"We're very excited that Kori is taking on the president role, but it's bittersweet, I enjoyed my time," he says. "But we're so happy someone as strong as Kori is coming into the role with the business background she has with CIBC."

Hildebrand has been on the chamber board since 2011.

He says it was exciting to watch Executive Director Tanya Chateauneuf mature into her role, and see events like the P.W Enns Awards Gala grow.

"Really excited to see how the business community has reacted to the chamber events," he says.

Hildebrand will continue to support the chamber as Past President.
