Donations continue to be accepted for the annual Morden Koats for Kids campaign.

Gently used children's coats, mittens, boots, and toques are accepted at the Morden Fire Hall, in the unmistakable large red bin.

"It's something the community has stood behind for many years," coordinator Andrew Plett explains. "There's obviously a need, families that could use some additional winter gear for their kids... it's a great way for the community to help those families."

He notes they're still looking for a number of items before they hit their target. Winter gear for adults and teens is also accepted.

Families looking for some extra outerwear this winter can stop by on November 16, 21 and 23 between 4:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m.

The campaign is organized by the Morden and District United Way. Last year the organization donated $75,000 directly to local charities and hope to raise $90,000 this year.
