Kerri Einarson & Brad Gushue are 2021 Canadian Mixed Doubles curling champions.

Einarson & Gushue defeated Kadriana Sahaidak & Colton Lott 9-6 in the gold medal game Thursday night in Calgary.

The two-time Scotties champion and three-time Brier champ jumped out to a 3-1 lead and then took control of the game with a steal of four in the fourth end.

With the victory Einarson & Gushue collect the top prize of $50,000 and have the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland from May 17th-23rd.

The top seven finishing countries in Aberdeen will secure spots in the 2022 Winter Olympics mixed doubles competition in Beijing.

It was the third straight podium finish for Sahaidak & Lott. They were silver-medallists in 2018 in Leduc, Alberta and claimed bronze in 2019 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Sahaidak & Lott received $30,000 for finishing second and also clinched a berth in the 2021 Olympic Mixed Doubles Curling Trials.
