A local CEO is hoping to build up the community leaders in the Pembina Valley.

Sherry Janzen, Salem Home CEO, is helping organize the 2019 Global Leadership Summit Simulcast at the Winkler Bible Camp October 17-18.

"We are all leaders," Janzen says. "Individuals might not think of themselves that way, but everyone has to decide how they will use their sphere of influence... you can use it for good, or not for good."

She adds the conference is a potent time to grow into your leadership potential.

"When you look at the roster of speakers, any one of them would come at a cost no small organization could afford," she says. "It really puts into perspective what you're getting."

Janzen notes the conference has been a tradition for herself and many Salem staff for over a decade, noting each year they make small changes to their work and lives.

"These are two days are an investment in our leaders and the impact it's had on Salem Home is immeasurable," she says. "Sometimes you just need to take time to feed your soul so you can, for the next year, do exactly what you need to do."

She adds improving yourself also benefits everyone around you, including family and friends. Learn more here.
