A bad decision resulted in a collision which could have had more serious consequences than it did. At approximately 9:30 p.m., a resident of Somerfeld Drive reported a side-by-side off road vehicle driving recklessly in the area.  Officers attended and observed the suspect vehicle westbound on Roblin Boulevard and activated the emergency lights to stop it.  The suspect vehicle accelerated and fled between two houses. Officers were able to keep it in sight until it entered a ditch south of Pembina Avenue west.  There officers found a man standing next to the vehicle, which was now severely disabled from a collision with an approach. Paramedics were attended to examine the driver as well as the passenger and transported both to Boundary Trails Health Center for further testing.  Both were released from medical care.  The investigation has resulted in the driver being charged with Impaired Driving, Driving over .08 mg/%, Dangerous operation of motor vehicle, Flight from Police and Unlawful Transport of Liquor.
