Morden police issued two tickets in the same number of days last week for Unlawful Transportation of Liquor in a Motor Vehicle, each worth a fine of $237.
The first incident happened Saturday when officers on patrol noticed a vehicle swerve in its lane several times. Once pulled over, the officers spotted an open case of beer in the backseat of the vehicle. A following roadside screening test on the driver resulted in a fail.
The driver was also issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle, along with a $700 administrative penalty.
The next day, officers on patrol noticed open liquor in the back seat of a vehicle they had pulled over.

The driver was also issued a 15-day driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle, along with a $500 administrative penalty, and ticketed for Failing to Comply with Licence Restrictions and Driving Without a Valid Driver’s Licence.
