Kevin Giesbrecht of Carman and Tyler Friesen of Winkler were both eliminated Sunday in the second round of the Provincial Match Play Golf Championship at Elmhurst. Giesbrecht lost 5 & 3 to Kody Fawcett of Selkirk while Friesen lost 2 & 1 to Peter More of Breezy Bend. Matthew Loewen of Winkler and Matt Dodds of Carman were eliminated in round one on Saturday. Loewen fell 4 & 2 to Brett Boschman of Wheat City. Dodds lost 3 & 2 to Mike Berney of Transcona.
