The Pembina Valley Hawks held their annual banquet earlier this month. 

Under the guidance of first-year head coach Brendan Edie and assistant coaches Ben Lulashnyk and Jory Mullin, the Hawks finished the regular season schedule in seventh place (20-16-4-1-4) in the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League.

Pembina Valley eliminated the second place Southwest Cougars in round one of the playoffs.

The Hawks defeated the Cougars 2-1 in Souris in the fifth and deciding game of the series as Acoyen Fehr scored the winner 7:43 into overtime.

Pembina Valley then dropped three straight the eventual champion Brandon Wheat Kings who will represent the West region at the Telus Cup later this month in Membertou, Nova Scotia. 

Hawks goaltender Bryson Yaschyshyn was chosen a First Team All-Star and defenseman Lane Apperley was named a Second Team All-Star.
