"I can hardly wait to open!" That from Ang Stoesz, board chair for the Rhineland and Area Food Bank, as she took this reporter on a tour of the operation's new location at the end of last week.

Well, that day has finally come, and today is the day the doors to the new food bank swing open. It's a day that's been 25 years in the making for Stoesz.

In this new location, no one will have to wait outside when waiting to recieve their hamper.

"I started with the food bank at the very beginning, twenty-five years ago, and my aim was always to get us into a nice spacious building, and now we're here," she said.

The food bank is now located across the street from Wiebe Funeral Home, on the west side of 4th St. SE.

40 clients per week.

Stoesz noted, it only took an hour-and-a-half to move the whole operation over, thanks to the help of some local groups on Wednesday evening.

"I would just like to thank the community for their tremendous support over the years - past and present, and I'm sure future. We have a community that's always behind us."
