Cole Kehler has signed a one-year contract with the American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose.

Kehler attended Winnipeg Jets training camp earlier this month after signing a professional tryout contract. He was released by the NHL team before the end of camp.

The 23-year-old Altona product appeared in 31 games with the ECHL’s Fort Wayne Komets last season and posted a 14-10-4 record with a 3.05 goals-against-average, a .901 save percentage and two shutouts.

Kehler also played in his first AHL game with the Ontario Reign on November 15th, 2019 against San Diego.

The Moose opened training camp Sunday and will hold on-ice sessions at Bell MTS Iceplex.

The 2020-21 American Hockey League season begins February 5th.
