The Killarney Livestock Auction is set for Monday, August 30th, as in past years...but this year, it's bigger and better than ever. Significant straw bale donations have been made, and all of the proceeds will help the Canadian Foodgrains Bank Haiti Disaster Relief Fund.

Haiti is in a state of emergency after an earthquake on August 14th. There were over 2000 fatalities, over 12,000 injuries, and thousands more displaced from their homes. This is where we once again we thank our farmers for coming through with an opportunity to help. Sam Hilhorst and her husband and family farm in the Killarney area, and Sam joined Morning Show Host Jayme Giesbrecht to share more about the significance of the donated items

Proceeds from the Killarney Livestock Auction will go to the Food Grains Bank's Haiti Disaster Relief Fund, while Haiti is in a state of emergency after an earthquake earlier this month left many without homes, food, clean water, and hygiene items. Visit www.killarneyauctionmart.ca to register. As Sam mentioned it is an online auction. And if you're not in the market to purchase straw bales and livestock, you can still make a donation to the Canadian Food Grains Bank, at www.foodgrainsbank.ca/haiti-crisis
