Police have provided details from a serious crash that happened Friday near Ste. Agathe.

At approximately 5:45 pm, a vehicle was struck by a concrete truck along Highway 75, where it intersects Provincial Road 305. According to RCMP, the northbound concrete truck struck an eastbound vehicle that had proceeded into the intersection before it was safe to do so.

The two occupants in the vehicle were rushed to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. STARS air ambulance transported the 37-year-old female driver to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. She was in stable condition. Her son was taken to hospital by ground ambulance.

Police say the driver of the concrete truck was not hurt.
