The Prairie Hill Motocross Track near Pilot Mound is ready for another weekend racing according to race and track promoter Kyle McCannell. He expects the event to be well attended by both riders and spectators, especially after being named Track Of The Year for Manitoba in their first year. McCannell shares why he feels the track received that title.

Roughly 300 motocross riders, their families, and friends are expected to be at the Prairie Hills Saturday, and Sunday. It's the last round of the spring series, and McCannell says ideal weather conditions for the races would be slightly overcast, about 20 degrees, and not pouring rain. He thanks his family and girlfriend for the work they've done in preparing for the event, and adds members of the motocross family will step up to volunteer over the weekend. McCannell points out they moved the start gates this year, and are trying to establish their pit area. Visitors will notice they have sown a mixture of grasses.

Fans are invited to the open practice day Saturday, followed by the goon race which a goofy way for riders to entertain the crowd. McCannell explains the riders wear costumes, do different tricks, and get the kids laughing. The races go Sunday. The Manitoba Motocross Association describes Prairie Hill as a hi speed track with awesome flow, black loamy dirt, rider friendly with multiple tables, two rhythm sections and one bush section with 1:40 lap times.
