A trio of organizations in the Pembina Valley will get a share of more than $130,000 through the Manitoba government's Heritage Grant Program.

The Province says not-for-profit community organizations can apply for up to 50 per cent of their projects total expenses through the program with funding ranging from around $1,000 to more than $10,000, depending on the size and scope of the heritage projects, which include interpretive signs, murals, bilingual exhibits, book research and writing, and digitization of photograph or sound recordings.

In total, organizations in the Central region will see $23,273 through this second wave of funding through the Heritage Grant Program.

This includes Boundary Trail Heritage Region Inc. which is getting $4,740 to pay for a sign at the St. Paul's Catholic Church, and to conduct research on local pioneers.

$7,000 is going to the Stanley Trail Association to create a video of local history in the Lake Minnewasta region.

Finally, the Miami Railway Station Museum Association is getting $2,533 for exhibition improvements.
