Those casting ballots for the R.M. of Stanley council next month can also have their voices heard on another matter.

Reeve Ted Dyck says they will host a referendum to gauge public opinion of allowing liquor sales in the municipality.

Currently there is no legal decision on the matter, therefore, it is not allowed by default.

Dyck says because they never had to deal with the situation in the past, it never came to mind.

He says it wasn't until a developer considered the R.M. for a project that they became aware of the current status.

Dyck says they want to put something in place to avoid this happening again.
