A father and son duo have just begun their potato harvest.

Jason and Harvey Kehler operate Kehler Farms just north of Carman.

Jason says they've done some digging, and so far quality has been quite good.

Kehler's irrigate their potato crop, but Jason notes the summer's hot and dry weather appears to have had some impact on the crop, but not as much as one would think.

He also credits para-tilling their potatoes, a new practice they just started, as another reason why they look so good.

Jason expects they will begin digging russets next week.
