The Municipality of Rhineland continues to set the stage for its priority grain roads project.

Reeve, Don Wiebe, explained engineering services for the project were discussed at the latest Council meeting.

"A committee was struck to examine engineering proposals, and then to recommend the most appropriate engineering firm or personnel for the project," he noted.

With this in place, Wiebe said construction should start in 2022.

About 50 kilometres, or 30 miles, of priority grain roads in the municipality will be rehabilitated thanks to over $4 million in federal-provincial funding announced earlier this year.
