After two years off, the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair returns to the Keystone Centre in Brandon in late March.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair (RMWF), is held annually during Manitoba’s March spring break, and is one of Western Canada’s largest agricultural events and the largest annual event to be held in Brandon.

The RMWF is one of only two fairs in Canada to receive Royal designation from Queen Elizabeth II and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Events in North America, receiving numerous awards from the tourism industry.

Organizers are thrilled to have the show return, and tickets went on sale Friday, February 25th.

“We were sitting on pins and needles for sometime waiting for the province to loosen restrictions and give us some positive news” said Rick Dillabough Manager of Operations and Sponsorship Lead with the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba.

“A few weeks ago we got the news that allowed us to go ahead and plan for the Winter Fair. We realized when the news came out what we had to do and when it had to be done and that was immediate.”

The Provincial Exhibition held Midway Madness in the fall of 2021 and turnout was tremendous. Organizers hope to see the same response to the Winter Fair.

“We’re anticipating a great response but as always the weather will play a part in it. We’re hoping with spring hopefully right around the corner fair goers will be ready to get to Brandon and enjoy the fair.”

“We continue to follow all current public health regulations set by Manitoba Health and earlier this month the province did announce proof of vaccination will be lifted March 1st and masks will no longer be required after March 15” said Dillabough

At the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, you can see world-class show jumping, heavy horse competitions, livestock sales and displays, a quality hands-on agricultural education program , exceptional live entertainers, over 300 commercial and agricultural exhibits, and much more!

The RMWF runs March 28 to April 2.
