Snow covered and slippery road conditions are to blame for an overturned dump truck on Highway 14 Thursday morning.

According to Pembina Valley RCMP, the incident also involved the fully loaded truck striking a second vehicle in the process, ultimately blocking the roadway 1 mile west of Plum Coulee.

As a result, the highway was closed for about two hours while police investigated and to allow for clean up.

RCMP say neither driver was seriously hurt.

This was one of several collisions Pembina Valley RCMP attended to during Thursday's icy conditions.

Police remind motorists to drive to road conditions, including allowing for extra braking time on icy roads and slowing down when conditions are not ideal.
