Kyle Lundale scored three power play goals including the game winner with eight seconds remaining in the third period as the Warren Mercs defeated the Notre Dame Hawks 7-5. James Maxwell added a pair of goals for the Mercs while the rest went to Chad Deprez and Braydon MacDonald into an empty net with one second left in regulation. Elijah Carels scored twice for the Hawks who lead 4-0 midway through the second period. Christian Prejet, Griffen McLean and Jeff Michiels had the other Notre Dame goals. Warren is tied with the Morden Bombers for second place in the SEMHL. Both teams are three points back of the first place Portage Islanders. The Mercs and Bombers have two games left in the regular season schedule. The Islanders have just one. The Hawks are tied for sixth place with the Winkler Royals and are one point back of the fifth place Altona Maroons.

 

Grady Ross scored three times and Alex Kubinec had four assists as Pembina downed Morris 5-1 in the lone Zone 4 High School Hockey League game. Wyatt Livingstone and Weston Sager also scored for the Tigers. Rylan Keck replied for the Mavericks.

 

TJ Matuszewski scored four times as Pembina Valley beat Raiders 5-3. Joel Vigier also scored for the Twisters who have won five in a row and are six points back of the Transcona Railer Express who hold down second place in the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League.

 

Rylen Roersma, Ridly Greig and Vincent Iorio did the goal scoring as the Brandon Wheat Kings blanked the Saskatoon Blades 3-0. Ethan Kruger made 23 saves in recording the shutout.

 

The Manitoba Moose were 5-3 winners over the Abbotsford Canucks. Jeff Malott and Nicholas Jones had two goals each for the Moose. Manitoba defenseman and Portage native Dean Stewart recorded a pair of assists for his first AHL point and first multi-point game.
