The Prairie Singers are an auditioned adult-community choir in Southern Manitoba with a love for great choral music and great fellowship.

They are performing a pair of concerts this Saturday with the title "Song of the Universal". The pieces are based off a work by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo that are inspired by the poetry of Walt Whitman. The pieces incorporate a string orchestra so both concerts will also feature The Post Road Strings from The Douglas Kuhl School of Music.

The concerts are happening at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Winkler at 2:30pm & 7:00pm on Saturday, March 9th and CFAM Morning Show co-host Zack Driedger caught up with Music Director/Conductor for the Prairie Singers, Rick Heppner Mueller.
