For the fourth week in a row, the Manitoba Government logged an increase in weekly tickets handed out in the province for COVID-19 infractions.

According to government's latest COVID-19 enforcement update, a total of 97 warnings and 60 tickets were issued for the week of May 3 to 9 including:
> 50 - $1,296 tickets to individuals for various offences. 47 of these tickets were in relation to gatherings in private residences or outdoors, and three tickets issued for failure to self-isolate.
> 9 - $298 tickets to individuals for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places; and
> 1 - $5,000 ticket to a business.

Additionally, Manitoba Justice officials have issued another 32 tickets for public health infractions related to three rallies held earlier this month.

Two of the fines, worth $1,296 each, are from the Winkler rally held on May 1st, for a total of four tickets now issued in connection to that particular event.

As well, eight additional tickets have been doled out from the May 1st rally held at The Forks in Winnipeg, and 22 more from the Law Courts rally on May 3rd.

The Province says all events remain under investigation with more charges expected to come.

Since enforcement efforts began in April 2020, a total of 4,105 warnings and 1,354 tickets have been issued, resulting in over $1.8 million in fines to businesses and individuals.
