On June 10th at approximately 12:30 a.m. the Winkler Police Service along with the Regional Support Tactical Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at #1 – 1402 Paramount Bay in Winkler. Both residents were arrested inside the apartment without incident. The search produced 6.4 grams of Methamphetamine, 4.5 grams of Marihuana, 100 – 600 milligram Gabapentin pills, a digital scale, drug packaging material used for sales, multiple cellular phones, $55 in cash as well as numerous power tools reported stolen from the Steinbach area.        

The estimated street value of the drugs is $1500.00

Daniel Raymond Somerton, age 30, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime(cash) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (tools) and six counts of Breach Undertaking Given to a Peace Officer.

Kimberly Susanne Ramsey, age 34, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and six counts of Breach Undertaking Given to a Peace Officer.

Both were out on bail stemming from a previous incident in April, when both were charged and released on charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. Both have been remanded into custody awaiting a court appearance in Winnipeg on Monday.
