Progress on construction on a few Altona Schools is nearing completion.

Barry Friesen is the maintenance coordinator for Border Land School Division.

He says most projects are done with a few sitting at the 90 percent mark.

Friesen adds they are installing a new heating conversion system in W.C. Miller and are currently two weeks behind schedule.

He says although all classrooms are in use there are still ceiling tiles missing out of a few of them.

Friesen says contractors will be working after school hours to complete the projects by mid September.
