Morden Police Service took the water on Canada Day looking for various types of offences

Boaters on Lake Minnewastsa on Canada Day may have received a friendly visit from Morden Police Service. Sergeant Brent Menzies says members checked a variety of watercraft after receiving complaints about the boats on the water.

He says, surprisingly, members discovered a number of infractions.

Morden Police were also checking for liquor offences, but Menzies says none were found on Canada Day. He tells us they do plan on conducting further checks throughout the summer, predominantly on the weekends, but says members may also be on the water during the week as well.
