A farm accident on Thursday has claimed the life of a young child from the Municipality of Pembina.

According to Pembina Valley RCMP, initial investigation has determined the child was riding on an open tractor with an adult male, when he fell from the cabless vehicle. When officers arrived on scene, the two-year old boy had been pronounced deceased.

RCMP continue to investigate.
