On Wednesday, the BBQ Fundraiser for Genesis House held in Pfahl's Drugs parking lot was a success, as the community went to support a noble cause. This event aimed to raise funds for Genesis House, a shelter that provides refuge and support for abused women and their children.

"I'm here for Genesis House. It's a great organization to support in the community, and I want to help them," said Jon Froese, who attended the BBQ.

With the support of the local community, the event managed to raise an impressive $2,243 in just a short lunch break. Individuals' and businesses' generous donations and participation showed a commitment to helping those in need.

"I'm glad we have a BBQ every year, we're blessed, and we want to give back to the community. One of our other employees suggested Genisis House at one of our meetings, and she felt strongly it would be a good place to support," said Terry Heide, Pfahl's Drugs Home Health Care Manager.

Beyond the financial success, the BBQ fundraiser served as a platform for raising awareness about domestic violence and the vital role that Genesis House plays in supporting survivors.

"I would really just like to thank Pfahl's Drugs and thank the staff. I saw them out there, slinging the burgers. I really thank them for their support not only today, but all year long, and to all the people that came out and supported us," said Ang Braun, Executive Director of Genesis House.

Overall, the BBQ Fundraiser for Genesis House in Pfahl's Drugs parking lot presented the power of community involvement in creating positive change. It showcased the ability of everyday individuals to make an incredible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
