Pembina Fellowship has partnered with rainbarrel.ca to organize a rain barrel fundraiser. Earl Dyck of Pembina Fellowship says they wanted to something in terms of climate change, "we've had a couple years of very dry conditions in this area"

Dyck says rainbarrel.ca has been doing this for a long time.

"They partner with non-profit groups and turn that into a fundraiser for them"

Using a rain barrel can help cut down water consumption throughout the summer. Dyck says his own barrels are performing very well, "The little rain that we've had that's come off our roof has immediately filled the barrels"

Proceeds from the fundraiser go to Water First Education & Training Inc., who help address water challenges in Indigenous communities in Canada through education and training.
