It wasn't much, but the recent rainfall did make a measurable difference in the water supply level on lake Minnewasta.

Santokh Randhawa, Morden's Deputy City Manager of Operations says the rain brought about 3 inches of inflow into the lake.

"We were at 9 feet 5 inches below the full supply level last week, and today (Thursday) we are 9 feet 4 inches below full supply level, so there was about 3 inches of inflow."

Without the rain, Randhawa says the water supply level would likely now be sitting at 9 feet 8 inches below full supply level. "It helps. Whatever we can get into the lake."

Meantime, Randhawa asks residents to continue doing as much as they can to conserve water.
